Last weekend, I attended the Naturally Undefined Wellness Conference (if you are following me on social media, you probably saw lots of pictures). Nic Abaham hosted the event and did an AMAZING job!
I attended the conference because my sister was a featured speaker, and I had the honor of introducing her. But what I didn’t realize was that I would learn so much, and I would leave being so inspired. I don’t currently live a holistic lifestyle, I use some natural products and I eat some organic foods…but I can’t say I live a holistic lifestyle. BUT, that doesn’t mean that I can’t start.
I spoke with my sister briefly about what she was speaking on so I would know what to say when I introduced her, but that was all I really knew about the event! The Naturally Undefined Wellness Conference was an event that allowed all stages of naturals to come together to discuss the natural/holistic lifestyle journey. Forgive my picture quality, I hadn’t planned on blogging about the event
From the most advanced to the beginners (like me) had the opportunities to share stories and secrets, and most of all to help each!
In the beginning, we started off with an Ice Breaker Activity and Lunch. We participated in a Marketplace icebreaker…
I’ve never heard of this concept, we moved around to a table of people we didn’t know and we had 30 or 60 seconds to make a declaration or request a service. I happened to be sitting at a table of 2 others I knew and 1 person that I didn’t know. After everyone had their few seconds, we went around and stated how we could help each other! It was an AWESOME icebreaker (I’m not usually a fan of icebreakers, mostly because they take you out of your comfort zone…but I thoroughly enjoyed this)! I have already connected with the person that said she could help me on my journey…
I had the pleasure of introducing my sister…
Next up was my sister!
My sister Carlyce, spoke about removing chemicals from your home and how she used essentials oils to tackle anxiety. She holds classes every couple months and discusses using Young Living Essential Oils in your everyday life, I love hearing her speak about a topic she is passionate about!
Next, we attended two breakout sessions…
I attended How business “fit” are you? Presented by Alicia Sims of Global Advantage 21 and Easy Meatless cooking options presented by Chef Monica Collins. Both sessions were very beneficial.

Things I learned…
Think Like a Manager and Not An Employee
Develop New Routines/New Habits-you can’t expect to be successful doing the same things over and over!
Write Goals Down, Give a Salary from Day 1
Keep working even when you feel like giving Up!
Build a Diverse Team-A group of individuals that are able to do things that you aren’t able to do!
I’ve been in a blogging rut and these tips helped me tremendously!
Easy Meatless Cooking Options by Chef Monica Collins
We made a one-pot pasta and veggie dish! We learned tips on how easy it is to make veggie meals for your family using most of the fresh veggies in your house so they don’t go bad.
We finished the evening with the last speaker Siobhan Sudberry of BeFree Project.
Siobhan discussed her personal journey with becoming vegan and tips on how we can make the transition gradually.
Nic closed us out with some encouragement, and let me tell you I am still on a high a week later! I have been paying attention to ingredients that are in everyday products that I use, I have also been to Whole Foods to pick up more lotion that I purchased from a vendor!
This event was amazing and actually helped me see that I have my own journey to a holistic lifestyle! Also, I don’t have to feel pressured to do EVERYTHING at once! It can be a gradual process.
Do you have a holistic lifestyle? If so, what did you change first in your transition?
