Every family has their own “thing” they love to do together. Movie night is ours, we LOVE movie night. My children know on Friday and Saturday nights that once we start changing the TV they go get sleeping bags or a spot on the couch because usually that means a movie is coming soon! Honestly, I wasn’t a movie buff prior to getting married, but now I ABSOLUTELY love movie night and our time together as a family.
Since we love movie night so much I felt that its only right that everyone have a movie night! I had the idea to gift our friends a basket filled with movie snacks. Now I know that everyone has their own particular movie snacks and there is a method behind their snacks, however, I picked out some classic snacks for my gift basket.
Gift Basket Prep…
I do most of my grocery shopping at Giant Eagle, so I loved being able to shop in one location for everything we needed for our basket! Giant Eagle has everything so it was easy to get carried away with making this basket because I could’ve easily picked up another theme while finding the contents of this basket.
I took the candy out of the packages and put them into Mason-Style jars!
I picked up Chocolate Covered Peanuts, Fruity Gummies and Chocolate Mints. I used label stickers to label each jar before putting them in the basket.
I loved the look of the gold tops with the tan labels, however, you can choose any type of jar and labels to use to label your items.
Since my husband believes that you can’t watch a movie without a Coca-Cola™, this was the first item we decided to get. We purchased regular Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero™.
I felt that its only right to Share an Ice Cold Coke with our friends names on them; Melanie and Drew. We didn’t find the same names on the Coca-Cola Zero bottles so we found one of our favorite couples from an old movie. Share a Coke is back with 1,000 new Share A Coke names featuring First and Last names this year (how fun)!! I always look for my name but I have yet to find it!
I also enjoyed Coke Zero in my stemless wine glass while I was creating this basket!!
Next I added the other snacks in-between the Coca-Cola bottles.
I love the combination of savory and sweet items for this basket. Its a perfect mixture, so no matter what the person likes you have covered everything.
I finished my basket by topping it off with some decorative tissue paper, but you can add a bow or leave it without decoration.
If you are looking for Share A Coke at Giant Eagle, there is a display located in the front of the store…
Coca-Cola is also located in the aisle with other pop…
