A couple of weeks ago we went to the Harlem Globetrotters Game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse! If you have never attended a Harlem Globetrotters Game I highly recommend going if you have the opportunity! As many of you know, we are a sports loving family so attending a Harlem Globetrotters Game was a perfect family outing for us. The last time I had been to a Harlem Globetrotters Game I was about DJ’s age, when the CAVS played in Richfield, OH! If you’re from Cleveland, you will recognize the Richfield reference, the CAVS used to play at a place called the Coliseum in Cuyahoga Valley National Park from 1974 to 1994, and was torn down in 1999.
The Harlem Globetrotters are an American exhibition basketball team. They’re basketball players with a combination of athleticism, theater, and comedy in their style of play. And this game was no different, it kept us entertained from beginning to the end!
If you know anyone from Cleveland, you know one thing is we are proud of our city! The game started with music from a local Cleveland artists and everyone was up out of their seats dancing!
On December 27 the game was between Harlem Globetrotters and Washington Generals! The Washington Generals are an American basketball team who play exhibition games against the Harlem Globetrotters. The team has also played under several different aliases in their history as the Globetrotters’ perennial opponents.
