Cookies are everywhere during this time of year! These sugar cookies are perfect for any holiday party!
Growing up my family would always buy cookies, and we would make cookies from pre-made cookie dough but homemade cookies were sometimes brought home from my parent’s job. It wasn’t until I worked one of my first jobs out of college that I learned about how “big” homemade cookies are during the holiday season. I had coworkers that would take weeks off school to start baking for the holiday season!
Each year I feel like I increase the cookies I make! I have a lemon cookie recipe that everyone loves and a couple of chocolate cookie recipes that I make. And have recently included sugar cookies into our holiday cookie lineup!
For my children who aren’t big chocolate lovers, I have to get creative with making sugar cookies. One of my go-to recipes for cookies is no chill dough sugar cookies. This recipe is quick and easy to make and what I love most is that these cookies can be created for any occasion.
Christmas Cookies: No Chill Dough Sugar Cookie
With Christmas coming these cookies were made in Christmas colors; red and green. However, if you celebrate another holiday you can totally switch out the colors for the colors of your choice! We have even made these cookies with rainbow colors, or your child’s favorite color.
And honestly, you probably have all of the ingredients in your cabinets right at this moment! So even if you forgot to make cookies for a special event this is a recipe that can be whipped up fast!
