Since having children, I have gotten into Halloween! We like to have fun with the holiday, it’s nothing more than that! Fun costumes, and pumpkin decorations. If you’re like me and you like the holiday but you don’t do scary, this recipe will be perfect for your family! They’re easy to make and honestly, you could probably give the directions to your children and let them make them on their own, or challenge them to make them and see which ones look close to the shape of Mickey Mouse!
Mickey Halloween Cinnamon Rolls
After making Mickey Halloween Cinnamon Rolls, you could definitely turn these into any holiday cinnamon rolls! I can definitely see making these for Valentine’s Day, or a St. Patrick’s Day treat! Or even Christmas, red ears and green face would work perfectly!
Mickey Halloween Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 Package Cinnamon Rolls
- Orange Icing
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Position one cinnamon roll for Mickey's head. You will want this to be the largest cinnamon roll.
- Take a small cookie cutter or a shot glass and cut two small circles out of two cinnamon rolls.
- Pinch the two small cinnamon rolls onto the large one to create Mickey's ears.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cinnamon rolls have fully cooked.
- Glaze Cinnamon Rolls in orange icing.
- Serve & enjoy.
To make these cinnamon rolls extra festive, you could also add some Halloween-themed sprinkles! I’m sure in my family, my children would love it if my Mickey Halloween Cinnamon Rolls contained sprinkles with eyes! As if this recipe needs any more sugar, but I would add them to see the smiles on their faces and the laughs! They’re only little once, so I know we would have LOTS of fun with these Halloween Cinnamon Rolls!
Halloween will be a little different this year because schools still aren’t having parties and families are staying close to home rather than going out for Trick or Treating! I love that with the holiday being on the weekend you can make a full day of having fun together! This recipe can definitely be used as a dessert or a mid-morning snack, or even add it to a brunch menu! And I’m always up for a savory and sweet combo, so add some bacon on the side and you have the perfect meal or morning snack!
