Christmas is coming and most of us are either already doing remote learning, or headed in that direction for the rest of the year. If your children are anything like mine, they’re always looking for something to do or something to eat! After Thanksgiving, we are pretty diligent in watching all of the Christmas movies, from the new movies to the old movies or classics! Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer has always been a favorite movie for us! And ever since my children learned the song in school, they always sing it when we are decorating for Christmas. This year in trying to find some fun things for the kids to do, we stumbled upon creating Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Inspired Donuts!
This is truly one of those recipes that you can set the ingredients in front of your children and let them have at it! They can create this exact Rudolph or they can create whatever reindeer they want. You can even let them create all 9 reindeer if you have enough donuts, but I wouldn’t recommend you let them eat all 9 donuts at one time!
Here are the ingredients you will need to create Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Inspired Donuts…

With my children, this is definitely a recipe I could bring up on my iPad and have them create this by looking at the picture! Below I’m sharing in-process photos, however, you can show them the finished reindeer and have them create it based on how they see it! Honestly, I think this would be a fun project for the family!
You start by adding pretzels for the ears…
Most children love the song “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” or watching the original movie during the Christmas season. How about creating a recipe based on the movie with donuts! Your children will absolutely love making these before they devour them!
What’s fun about this recipe is you can make this with chocolate donuts, powdered donuts, coconut donuts, or regular cake donuts! It’s truly up to you and what you prefer! But don’t be afraid to switch it up!!
For the cherry nose in the center, you can use DOTS red candies, Chewy Red Hots if you don’t mind a little kick, or you can use the Red Head Chewy Lemonheads. These are my recommendations, but you know your children better than I do so I would pick based on their likes!
