If you know me you know one of the things I love is planning, planners, stationary, notebooks! Do you know what today is? Today is National Planner Day, and what better way to celebrate than talking about some of my favorite planner items. One of the meme’s that I have seen going around is about how buying a 2020 planner was overrated this year. And while the majority of this year I has been spent at home, I have used my planner more than I ever thought I would! While being at home I have had to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner…and sometimes even snacks! I had to keep up with lesson plans for DJ, stay on top of my schedule of working full time from home, Darrick’s work schedule, Emma’s school schedule, and working on my blog! We have been home but we’ve been busy!
The Happy Planner has been a favorite of mine for a while now. I feel like they just get me, I love the vivid colors and most of all their stickers! I literally put stickers on EVERYTHING!
During the quarantine, we have been going through lots of groceries! While I always have my phone on me I love being able write a list to meal plan for the week, and what groceries I need! Before quarantine, I would use Sunday evenings as my planning time. I would plan our meals out and sometimes I would cook a couple of meals so I didn’t have to cook during the week. I didn’t usually plan for a week, just a few days at a time and I would “wing” it for the rest of the week. However, being at home and cooking so much I started planning and it not only helped my sanity when coming in the kitchen to cook, but it also helped with knowing what I need to purchase during my grocery store runs.
The Happy Planner has a Block Paper Pad-Recipe and Meal Prep helps me stay on task at the grocery store! Now I must admit that I am a BIT extra with my meal plan and I make it fun with stickers and color pens, but you dont have to do that. By simply completing this list prior to going grocery shopping we have been able to stay on budget while grocery shopping!
The Happy Planner Stickers are absolutely my JAM!!! I personally love adding my Happy Planner-Food themed stickers to my list! I add stickers to everything and that includes my grocery list as well! However, this brand has a wide variety of stickers, there is literally a sticker for anything you need!
During this time at home I have been focused on making memories with my children. From playing games, to sitting and making necklaces and bracelets with beads. There are many “Keepsake Theme Planners and Books” however, with my family a lot of our memories are centered around the kitchen.
One of the things I love about my family is their love for cooking and passing down recipes. The Classic Happy Notes-Foodie Recipe is an excellent choice for writing down those recipes that you would like to continue to pass down.
I plan to sit down and listen to my mom as she talks about some of the family recipes so I can make sure I have them all written down for Emma as she gets older. Since I have some extra time on my hands it would be great to get this goal accomplished via telephone with my mom! I have started putting some of the my favorite recipes that Emma enjoys making with me in the Classic Happy Notes-Foodie Recipe book…
What I have realized during the quarantine is that I operate better when I work from a daily “to-do” list for myself rather than using my normal planner. By using a to-do list and crossing things off as I go I am able to better keep track of things that need to be accomplished throughout my day.
What I love about Happy Planners is that you’re able to customize the products. With one of my notebooks I was able to customize it to fit my current needs during the quarantine period.
Currently, Happy Planner is having a HUGE Sale and I’m sure if you need to stock up, right now is a good chance. Especially with everything going on with our jobs and school, I guarantee that you will utilize these planners and notebooks more than you think!
Here are a few items that you may want to check out as we head into the second half of the year…
