Learning about God is something that is important to Darrick and me! We have always practiced our religious traditions with our children and taught them about God. In the last couple of weeks the kids have been asking more questions about God right before bedtime, I think its due to us saying prayers together. We usually sit on the side of their beds and have full conversations about God. I was sent PJ Time-100 Devotions to Light Up the Night, and this has been an awesome book to aide in our discussions.
PJ Time 100 Devotions to Light Up the Night is a bedtime devotional book with nighttime themes from a biblical perspective. What I love is that it encourages children with suggestions of how to live out God’s love and has ideas to talk about with God.
I must admit, teaching your children about God isn’t always an easy process but PJ Time Children Bedtime Devotions provides fascinating topics that explores the wonders of what happens at night sleeping otters holding hands, the moon’s glow, multiplying bubbles at bath time, and saying good night to God. Each devotion includes a prayer starter that will help children to learn and become comfortable with talking with God about their specific triumphs, struggles, and questions.
Each devotion also provides colorful illustrations, final reflection, and a challenge of how to act out Jesus’ love in our everyday life!
What I love is PJ Time helps children to get into the routine of spending time with God on a daily/nightly basis!
