Have you ever attended the Tri-C JazzFest in Cleveland, Ohio? Well if not, this is the year that you don’t want to miss!
In a couple of weeks, it will be the 40th anniversary of Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland, presented by KeyBank! The event takes place June 27-29 at Playhouse Square — and will celebrate Cleveland’s contributions to jazz over the decades while presenting a mix of iconic and emerging artists.
The main event includes a lineup that features nine ticketed concerts in Playhouse Square’s historic theaters. Headliners for the shows include Tower of Power, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, Dianne Reeves, Christian McBride, Regina Carter and more.
Tri-C JazzFest also features nearly 24 hours of live music showcasing the best of Northeast Ohio with eighteen exciting acts promise to keep the music pumping from the Strassman Insurance Stage on Euclid Avenue at East 14th Street. The free outdoor performances run 3 p.m. to midnight June 28-29 when JazzFest overtakes Playhouse Square.

A happy hour with discounted drinks starts on the plaza at 5 p.m. Friday, June 28. The night will also feature street performers, the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Parade the Circle puppets and line dancing.
Other free outdoor activities at the festival include the U.S. Bank Kids Club; cooking demonstrations; food trucks and vendors; games; the Chemical Bank Jazz Talk Tent with artist interviews; and a Saturday morning yoga session.

My husband and I are planning on attending the Bobby Womack Tribute! I absolutely LOVE Avery Sunshine’s voice so I am totally looking forward to hearing her sing!
There are so many good shows to choose from, it was hard picking just one show! I’m so excited! Its crazy Tri-C JazzFest has been going on in the city for so many years and I have never been before!
