Last weekend I kicked off my Mother’s Day weekend by attending the Sitting Made Simple launch party for the Cleveland branch with Emma! Sitting Made Simple Cleveland is a local childcare agency. The owner, Jasmine Wright reached out to me and I was intrigued by the agency and what it provides.
Emma and I arrived early because we had a “jam-packed” day, we had two other events to attend. However, when we arrived we were greeted by a sea of pink! The decor was pink as was the company logo, and I might have fallen in love! HA! Everything was absolutely beautiful!
Since we were early, we had the opportunity to create a Mother’s Day Flower Arrangement. Emma was supposed to create it for me, however, she wanted my assistance so we created it together. It actually made it all the more special because she picked out the flowers and I arranged them!
The flowers came from Blossom Cleveland, which is Cleveland’s First Flower Bar! You can visit the Flower Bar and build your own bouquet or they can build it for you. But you can also host a private event; such as a birthday party, bridal shower, or bachelorette party!
Emma was dealing with a little bit of sensory overload, she doesn’t like when there is attention on her. And sometimes meeting new people and doing new things is hard for her to adjust! She warmed up a little after she was able to indulge in the refreshment table!
After calming her down I had a chance to check out some of the vendors and pick up my swag bag!
More about Sitting Made Simple…
Sitting Made Simple® launched in 2008 by a local nanny, Amanda Knapp. Sitting Made Simple offers sitters for those random last minute needs, date nights, Mom breaks and the highly sought after school and summer programs. Currently, Sitting Made Simple can be found in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus OH, Dallas and Fort Worth TX, Indy IN, Nashville TN and Raleigh NC.
All sitters are interviewed in person, have a clean background check, driving record, and are CPR certified. There was a sitter present and she was very nice, she saw Emma sitting next to me and reached out to her to play, and I saw immediately Emma relaxed!
Do you think Sitting Made Simple is a service your family would use?
Personally, we have not used the service, however, I feel that with the sitters coming from an agency I would be open to trying it. Most times my children stay with family we trust them with, however, there have been times when there are adult only events that we could benefit from a sitter for a couple of hours.
