Snacktime: Unicorn Popcorn

Unicorns!!

Last year I introduced Emma to Unicorns when I found her a Unicorn Halloween Costume at Target! Ever since then we have been all about the Unicorns!

Do you have a Unicorn Lover in your life?

Well, I have the perfect snack for you…

Ingredients: 

4 C. microwave popcorn

12 oz Wilton Bright Pink candy melts

12 oz Wilton Teal candy melts

Wilton multi-colored nonpareils

Wilton Unicorn Icing decorations

Bright multi-colored Sixlet candies

Parchment paper

 

Directions: 

#1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the popcorn out onto the baking sheet.

#2. Pour the bright pink candy melts into a microwaveable safe dish. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring until melted. Let cool a few minutes and using a large spoon to drizzle over the popcorn.

#3. Sprinkle multi-colored nonpareils and Sixlets over the popcorn and melted chocolate.

#4. Repeat step #2 with the teal candy candy melts. Sprinkle with more nonpareils.

#5. Add the Unicorn Icing decorations and bright colored Sixlets.

#6. Let the popcorn sit and allow the melted chocolate to harden.

#7. Once the popcorn has set, store in an airtight container.
Honestly, this recipe can be made with whatever flavors, colors and characters that you want! But if you’re looking for a run recipe that the kids can join in on the fun…especially if you have a popcorn lover. My children absolutely LOVE popcorn, and next time we make this I plan to incorporate themes that they both love!
