The holidays are over, however, the magic of the lights still shines throughout the neighborhood! One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is going to see the holiday lights. My father used to drive our family around Cleveland to see all of the different light displays, and now my husband takes our family! Last week we rode around in the new 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultra AWD and it was amazing! Santa Fe’s have been in my family for a while, my mother had a 2003 and my sister currently drives 2012. So I may be a little bias because I am already aware of how great of a vehicle the Santa Fe is!
Before Christmas, we packed up our children and my niece and headed around the city to view the light displays! We had a great time, they put on their pajamas and boots. I popped us individual bags of popcorn and we rode around Cleveland. Our first stop was Nela Park in East Cleveland, then headed to Downtown Cleveland and finished up in our own neighborhood because there are a couple of houses that have light displays that are linked up to local radio stations!
We literally rode all over the city of Cleveland; from the Northern Summit County to Downtown Cleveland looking at the light displays. While riding Darrick and I discussed all the things that we really liked about the Hyundai Santa Fe…
4 Captain Chairs…there are 4 Captain Chairs (two in the front and two in the second row), and they were very comfortable. Our current SUV doesn’t have captain chairs so this was different for Emma and DJ in the backseat, but they adjusted well. I looked in the rearview mirror and they were holding hands, then they leaned over and would rest their heads on each other.
The Height of Car…Easy on your back and legs to get in and out, and our children didn’t need assistance in getting in and out of the car. It was low enough that it was easy on you but high enough that you weren’t scraping the ground when driving on a low surface.
Panoramic Sunroof…this is a feature I love as well as my family! It really came in handy when we were in Downtown Cleveland looking at the Terminal Tower. The building is so tall that it would be hard to see out of regular windows, however, we were all able to look through the sunroof. And when are not looking at Christmas Lights, I love the natural light that comes in.
Dashboard…during the day and night the dashboard was my favorite! I loved the blue accent lights at night, and during the day I was able to handle so much from the dashboard, but it wasn’t too busy where it took my focus off the road.
Handling…the handling gave you all the features of an SUV but drove like a luxury sedan! Even in the snow! The weekend we got the car the roads were clear but the grass was snow covered. As the
Air & Heat Controls in Each Row…Usually, in the back of the car, I have children, so I like to keep it a little bit cooler than I would the front. My children always have extra layers and heavier coats than I do. I know they will get warmer before I will, and having the ability to regulate their heat and air at different temperatures than the front is always a bonus in my book! The third row even had its own controls, and my niece totally loved that feature when she was sitting back there.
Side and Rear Cameras…I never knew that I needed so many cameras, however, a girl could get used to these cameras for safety!! Especially with it being the Christmas season in parking lots, there were people everywhere and being able to see all sides and angles is vital!
I loved the feel of the Hyundai Santa Fe! As I said earlier, call me biased because I knew ahead of time what a great vehicle the Hyundai Santa Fe is! I would definitely recommend it to families! Or for those that want the SUV with the luxury sedan feel! It’s truly an amazing vehicle!
