Disney on Ice is always a fun time with my family! And this year was no different!
I waited to share with the children that we were going until the day of, and I only told them then because I said if they didn’t take naps then Daddy and I were going by ourselves…LOL! I knew they were going but I NEEDED them to take those naps so they didn’t get to the show and get sleepy!
When we arrived it was pretty early so I had a chance to take a couple of pictures! It was so much going on that neither one of them wanted to smile and actually look at the camera, so this is what Emma and DJ gave me; 4 pictures of not looking at the camera!
Every year we go and I share a recap, however, this year I want to share…
3 Reasons Why You and Your Family Will Love Disney On Ice
One…It’s Disney!
Do I really need to elaborate! Everyone LOVES the Mickey Mouse and his crew! Sometimes as I sit at the Disney on Ice show I glance at some of the adults around to see if they’re enjoying the show and it never fails, you have your parents who are singing along, the ones with huge smiles on their faces and those that are so into it they have an intense look on their face! It truly never get’s old for adults or children! And the cheering that happens when Mickey and Minnie come out is always AMAZING!!
Two…Family Fun!
One thing that I love about my family is that we can have fun wherever we are. And Disney on Ice is no different! From the ride to the Q Arena to the ride home, we have fun simply being together and I truly cherish this time and hope that it lasts forever. Disney on Ice caters to children, however, parts of the show reminded me of my childhood (especially the part with Beauty and the Beast), however, that doesn’t stop my husband and me from dancing and singing along with our children and seeing their faces when they realized we knew the songs.
As a child Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorites, so when they sang Be Our Guest I sang with them and Emma looked at me like “how do you know that song” LOL! It was hilarious, but again everyone loves Disney!
Three…Teach Your Children to Enjoy the Events in their Hometown
Any chance my husband and I get we are taking our children to events in and around the City of Cleveland, this is how you grow pride in your city. I was raised like this and so was my husband. My children now know when we ride pass The Q Arena that there is a chance we are going to an event there and they get excited. They know The Q is home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Indians play next door as well as when we pass First Energy Stadium that is where the Browns play.
This year Disney on Ice added Moana to the lineup and I really enjoyed their portion of the show!
