When I was younger and I thought about becoming a mother, I always wanted two boys and one girl! And sure enough, I was blessed with just that! Although one of our sons is in heaven, I still got my blessing! When I was pregnant and I found out it was a girl I couldn’t wait to spoil her with all of the girly things. I love now being able to shop with her and she is showing me frilly things, and vice versa…she truly is my mini-me!
Last Friday, I surprised Emma with tickets to see Shopkins Live at Playhouse Square! It was a great to break away from everyone and enjoy each other!
We arrived a little after the doors opened and got Emma a Shopkins souvenir! While standing in line Emma looked at me and said “Mommy I am so excited”…that made it all worth it! And being the crybaby I am I had to fight back tears! This is the same little girl at one point they didn’t know if she would talk or not! And for her to say that made my WHOLE NIGHT!
I think I was more excited than she was about going to The Playhouse together! I planned her outfit out weeks ago, but the day of the show the temperature dropped, it was a snow day the day before! So what I originally planned went out the window, I knew we had to be dressed warm but I had to have her in Shopkins! Emma already had this shirt and purse so I paired it with jeggings and boot socks!
The show was adorable! It was about 90 minutes long and that included a 20-minute intermission! Emma sang and dances right along with the “Shoppies” and screamed a couple of times when the different Shopkins came on stage! From the Strawberry to the Taco…she was in awe and made sure to let me know which ones she had and which ones we needed to add to the group!
The show is still on tour well into next year! If you are interested in finding out if Shopkins Live is coming your way…check it future dates here!
If you have a Shopkins lover in your family…I highly recommend getting tickets! Emma absolutely LOVED the show, and I loved seeing the dancing! The songs and dances were very catchy!
This was Emma’s and I first time going to a play together! However, I see MANY more in our future! Emma and I always spend time together but usually if there is a show, game or play we attend as a family! However, this was something just for us! And she loved it being a Mommy and Me date! Emma had me all to herself so when she wasn’t singing and dancing, she was hugged up with Mommy (and I ate it all up)!!! I am here anytime for extra cuddles!!!
