Marriage Blogging!!!
Okay so let’s jump right in! I know I mention on the blog before that Darrick and I were trying to start a Marriage Ministry at our church! Well, let’s just say that has been one hard job, who knew that people didn’t really want to work on their marriage! But anyways we will keep moving…
So I plan to do some #TeamGodbott posts that will focus on my husband Darrick and I as a team! I haven’t decided if this will be a weekly post or a post whenever I have a topic to write about but I am excited to add marriage related post to my site on a regular basis! I may even get Darrick to write a few post…well, we will see how that works out!
I know I have shared the story of Darrick and I getting together many times and sharing the fact that we grew up in church together but since he’s 8 years older than I am we never really talked to each other. My sister had a dream that Darrick and I would get married (just out of the blue) and she basically all but tried to throw me into his arms LOL (that’s a big sister for you)!
In true “girls are always doing the most” format we found Darrick on Facebook and she was supposed to request him and suggest that he and I became friends. We totally messed up the plan but it definitely worked! About a day after we became friends he sent me a DM (yeah it all started when he slid into my DM) and told me he really liked my blog!
Fast forward to NOW…
Ever since Darrick and I got together he knew that I was a blogger, and he has been my #1 supporter! When we attend events, he helps me with the children, he takes pictures we even sit together and discuss possible blog topics.
If you have been a longtime reader of The Green Eyed Lady Blog then you know that as a couple we have been through a lot with our family. However, through it all, our marriage has remained solid! Now that is not to brag, it’s been stressed but NEVER shaken to the point of us even talking about going separate ways! And now I would love to share how #TeamGodbott has remained solid and how we deal with different things that arise as a couple!
I (well we) plan to discuss the challenges of everyday life, having a special needs daughter, how we sneak in a date night from time to time, and I plan to open the blog up for blog questions for us to answer! And maybe even a few videos!
So I hope you follow along as we start this new series on The Green Eyed Lady Blog!
