I received these items in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
With school starting next week, every day I have been doing a little bit of prepping for Emma to go back to school. We are headed to Pre-K and this year we want to knock it out of the water since this is our second go round. All summer we have worked on her hand writing, letters and numbers. So hopefully when school is back in session I will get reports on how well she is doing!
Last week when the guys went to the barbershop, Emma and I went school shopping!
We picked up everything on the school list! This year was different because she really wanted a hand in picking out the colors and getting some of the items off the shelves!
As I always do after going supply shopping, I come home and sort everything out and put some of the items in her bookbag with her name written on everything. This year was a little different, instead of labeling everything with permanent markers I labeled them with her own personalized stickers from Mabel’s Labels.
Mabel’s Labels was created by 4 moms that knew the struggle of labeling items with tape and markers, so they created their own line of personalized waterproof name labels and tags (and I am FOREVER grateful)! These labels are Ahhhhhhhmazing in every way! “They’re extremely durable, they’re laundry, dishwasher and microwave safe – and they’re 100% guaranteed (website).”
Once we got home I went into school mode, I pulled her backpack out and started preparing everything for school!
I always add labels or write initials in the most random places that I will remember, just in case there is ever a mix-up with another child’s items.
This year we went with a Wonder Woman backpack since Emma loves her superhero’s! And I mean what better way to show “GIRL POWER than with Wonder Woman!
I had her help me pick her labels from Mabel’s Label when I placed our order and she went right for Hello Kitty! I think they are absolutely adorable, and I love that I was able to add her full first and last name to the label. Emma is a popular name right now so there are always a couple of them in her class, however, since everything is labeled she will never get her items mixed up with the other Emma’s in Pre-K!
We added labels to everything that she is bringing to school, even some of the extra items that I purchased to help the teacher out! I would like for her Hello Kitty labels to be her signature label on everything she has!
What I loved about Mabel’s Labels is when you order the pack of labels, it comes with so many variations of the personalized labels.
I ordered both Emma and Douglass the same pack of labels…

We didn’t create DJ’s labels with his name, we went with his nickname because this is what he will most likely go by in school. Unless there is already a DJ in his class when he starts later this year. I plan to use his labels for his items for school as well as right now when he takes his backpack or cup with him to the nursery at church, everything will already be labeled for them.
I also LOVED that I could feel the durability in the label! Emma has a speech delays so many times if she’s asked a question she may shy away from talking, so if she is lost (one of my biggest fears, is her not answering questions to get her to where she needs to be) her bookbag is labeled with her name and I don’t have to worry about the labels falling off. These are great for children that can’t always answer the questions right away that are asked, and also for identification purposes.
How do you label your children’s items for school? Have you ever thought about getting them personalized labels for their items?
If not, I HIGHLY recommend you checking out Mabel’s Labels for all of your children’s labeling needs. They literally have labels for each chapter of your child’s life, even for your college students!
