Happy 8 Year Blogiversary!!!
Thinking back to sitting in my apartment in Columbus in 2008, I knew I wanted to start a blog but I wasn’t sure of all the particulars. My internship with SKORCH had ended and although I could continue working with them I wanted something of my own…so from that I birthed The Green Eyed Lady…
The Green Eyed Lady has been a constant in my life since I was finishing college, I’m not quite sure where I want to be but I’m so happy where I am!! Wait I take that back…I would love to do this FULL-TIME! I think that’s why I get so frustrated from time to time with blogging! There are MANY perks (I’M SO GRATEFUL) but I also put in hard work and LOTS of hours!!!
I never thought something that I wanted to do as am hobby would turn out to be permanent (and I’m HOLDING on to that dream of one day doing it FULL-TIME)…and even now there are times when I second guess myself and say I’m going to let it go but when I think about doing that I want to cry! Its my baby…
Also the great people I have met through blogging…you have supported me through some of my toughest times and I am very grateful!!! Although I cant see and hug some of you all in person I know if I need to talk, pray, cry or ask a simple question about blogging you all are there for me and I am extremely grateful!!
Blogging has played such an integral part in my life…
From sparking the first conversation between my husband and I (he read my blog first and sent me a message on FB) to an all expenses paid vacation this summer with my family, to networking with women who stepped in and helped my family in the loss of my son! And a chance to have so many experiences that we wouldn’t have necessarily had at this point in our life!
