We have had a busy couple of weekends and last weekend was no different! Last Sunday was DJ’s birthday, and we celebrated the day before with a small get together with family…initially we planned to meet the family at a Hibatchi restaurant, however, at the last minute I changed everything and we had a small family get together at home.
DJ LOVES Mickey Mouse and French Fries!!
So as long as their were French Fries and Mickey Mouse it was he best birthday celebration EVER!!!
We started the day by surprising DJ with the Fisher-Price – Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse – Zip, Slide and Zoom Clubhouse
And he later received the Mickey Mouse Club House Handy Helper Tool Box
We try not to go overboard with birthday toys because we know that Christmas is right around the corner! And there may or may not be more Mickey toys coming! HA! Once we brought out the toys he could care less about the rest of the party! I decorated the house with a Mickey theme, accompanied by a Mickey Mouse cake.
He thoroughly enjoyed Birthday Cake!!!
My sister was the one that helped him wipe icing across his mouth!
Since everyone was giving up few hours in the middle of their Saturday, I made lunch for everyone! There was also a few “big” football games on so of course my husband turned it into a tailgating party! Their were kids playing, their were some watching the game and the rest were enjoying the French Fry Bar!
French Fry Bar…
If DJ could live off one food right now it would be French Fries (Hands Down)…plain french fries! Now I couldn’t just make french fries for everyone, so I made French Fries and Tater Tots and had a toppings bar!
This was VERY easy to create, and was a major HIT with everyone! Our wildcard topping was the Caramel Sauce! Darrick had french fries with caramel topping on them at a restaurant he was adamant that we had to have this for everyone to try…and as much as I fought him on it (that no one was going to like it) it was a total HIT!!! Go Darrick Go Darrick!!!
Sunday was DJ’s actual Birthday!
He wouldn’t stand still for the picture so Darrick had to help him! When we took the picture we didn’t realize how sleepy he was. He got in the car and passed out! He was good by the time he got to church…they sang Happy Birthday to him and we took cookies to the nursery for him to share with the other kids! Since it was the Usher’s Anniversary at church, we had dinner at church so once we got home Mr. Douglass passed out…
MAN DOWN!!!
So I guess I can say that the Birthday Weekend was a success!!! He was happy and we had a great time!!!
Happy Birthday DJ…we love you!!
