Thank You Costco for the products that were sent for Review! All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Prior to Darrick and I getting together we both shopped in bulk, he was on a plan with his siblings and since I was in college I would come home and my mom would take me shopping for my apartment. She would buy in bulk so she would have enough for she and my father, as well as myself; she would send me back to school with my necessities for the next month or so…
When I became a parent, and having two children that were allergic to regular milk I knew it was time to invest in a membership to a wholesale club. For the past 7 years we have been very faithful members of our wholesale club, however, this year we will be adding another membership to our clubs that we visit.
That club is COSTCO….
I have always heard great things about Costco, and we had a promotional membership at one point but since there wasn’t one in close proximity we didn’t get the full membership. Actually once it expired we didn’t bother renewing because the money we saved in shopping would’ve been taken up by gas we used getting to it.
Costco has OPENED in my neighborhood {Boston Heights}…well a next door neighborhood! But its about 15 minutes from my home! The 154,000-square-foot warehouse is located at 6720 Bass Pro Drive, north of Interstate 80 off Ohio State Route 8, accessible through local roadways, including Boston Mills, East Hines Hill and West Hines Hill roads.
This new Costco location will feature a variety of convenient specialty departments, a fresh bakery, fresh meat, fresh produce, fresh deli with rotisserie chicken, optical department with an independent doctor of optometry, photo center, pharmacy, tire center, hearing aid center, food court, beer, fine wine. Members also can save on Costco Services such as travel and auto buying.
I was sent a few products to test from Costco; and some of them we already use but others are ones that I’ve heard of but probably wouldn’t have tried on my own…
I was looking forward to the Almond Butter ever since I opened the box! You see I don’t like peanut butter in a jar but I love peanut butter flavored food…so I was looking forward to trying the Almond Butter. It was pretty good! I tried it on toast…I received a lot of great feedback and suggestions on how to eat it on Snapchat when I showed these products to my audience!
My children totally loved the applesauce! Mama likes the price of the applesauce!!!
Actually we loved all the products…some of these products were already in rotation on our shopping list like the Febreeze car scents and Mr. Clean magic eraser (can’t have a toddler and preschool and not own a bulk package of these)!
If you take a look at the picture you will notice most of the items are the Kirkland Signature brand. This is the house brand of Costco Wholesale. “The Kirkland Signature label appears on about 20 percent of the products you find in your local warehouse – on everything from men’s dress shirts to laundry detergent, pet food to toilet paper, canned foods to cookware, olive oil to beer, automotive products to health and beauty aids. The common element: These are Costco’s signature products that offer the perfect combination of quality and price to members (website).”
I must admit the Kirkland Signature paper products are AMAZING!! They alone will make you get a membership! From the price to the quality…they are an excellent buy!!
With back to school time approaching, I know it will be time to stock up on goods for the house and get back to our regular “during the school year” schedules. Costco is a great place to grab all the things to fill up your refrigerator as well as the pantry! I personally love shopping in bulk because that means that usually I don’t have to shop as often for things we use on a daily basis! I wont say I buy everything in bulk but if my family uses a lot of a certain product I like to stock up!
Especially with the winter months approaching (don’t hurt me for mentioning Winter)…but in Cleveland once the kids are back to school it seems as if Summer is over. And once the Winter comes in I don’t like taking my babies out every single day unless I have to, so I liked to stay stocked on their needs as well as the family’s needs!!
