Over the last few years Darrick and I have stayed in our fair share of hotels with our little ones. Usually we stay in the same brand of hotel because they have many of the amenities that we look for due to having children. When it is just he and I our list isn’t as long, but with the children we are VERY particular!
For our Press Tour we were housed at the Homewood Suites By Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown…
Our stay here was simply AMAZING!
Homewood Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown is located in the historic warehouse district of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The suites have an array of features including complimentary internet access, a work desk with ergonomic chair, flat-screen TV and sofa bed. The in-room fully equipped kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, microwave, two-burner stove and dishwasher to make you feel at home.
The extended-stay downtown Pittsburgh hotel welcomes families with children and offers complimentary high chairs and cribs, available upon request.
Each morning a complimentary hot full breakfast served. Followed later by a complimentary evening social Monday through Thursday. There is a 24-hour on-site convenience shop for a quick snack or a meal.
My personal thoughts…
This has been the first hotel in a LONG time that we have stayed at as a family that we absolutely LOVED!!! We loved the customer service, the cleanliness and how family friendly the hotel was. Being family friendly is HIGH on our list because we have a 4 and 1.5 year old. A big part of our trip is making sure the children are comfortable away from home. Emma and DJ loved the hotel, especially the view from the room…
DJ stayed in the windows…actually our first morning in the hotel Emma came and grabbed me so I could open the curtains so they could see outside! I don’t blame them, we love natural light at the room was filled with LOTS of natural light!
I think Emma and DJ thought the sitting room was their room, and the room with the beds in it was ours…because they would turn the TV on and make sure Darrick or I would turn it to the Disney channel and they stayed in there unless it was something they wanted. They even looked at us funny when we came out there to sit with them LOL! It was hilarious…but I loved that they were able to be comfortable as if they were at home!
As I stated earlier I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton {Downtown Pittsburgh}…we were very satisfied and this hotel has now taken the top spot of where to stay when we visit Pittsburgh (which is actually quite often throughout the year)!
We even came back to a gift for the children in the form of books…this made me so happy because this is truly good customer service but also we had so much junk food throughout the day that I was glad the treat was books versus more snacks!
