I love when Memorial Day comes because it’s like the kick off of the Summer. Emma is out of school, we have a couple trips planned and honestly if we don’t do anything I am just happy to have a break! Being on a schedule for the school year takes a toll on everyone! But now we can relax…and enjoy the sunshine!One of the things EVERYONE looks forward to for Memorial Day is the Cookouts…both sides of my family are big cooks so there is food everywhere. Unlike most people I’m not really looking forward to barbecue…I look forward to side-dishes and desserts.
I usually decide last minute on the dessert I will make, if I make one at all…but I’m thinking about making something like a parfait. Its so hot here in Cleveland that I would love to make something with fruit in my dessert. The cheesecake parfait is pretty much calling my name and I know its something that we will all eat!
