Today is Good Friday!
Good Friday is a day when we commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Something about this time gets me all in my feelings. I guess it’s because I really understand this time, and think at this time that Darrick is in Heaven. It brings tears to my eyes but it makes me rejoice at the same time! He’s free from all pain and sickness!
How do you celebrate Good Friday?
Today, my family will be taking a quick road trip to Columbus, OH!
I decorate the bulletin board at my church, and after I take down the Holy Week decorations I need to put up new decorations. Now there are other educational stores in Cleveland, but I feel in love with United Art and Education so we are going to go there first then spend the rest of the day exploring the city!
Last night I was kidnapped by my husband and nephew to go see Batman v. Superman “Dawn of Justice”…the ratings weren’t that good but I thought the movie was really good. Im not really into comics and stuff, but I try to understand because Darrick is really into it. And I mean Superman is pretty good eye candy throughout the movie…
If you follow me on Snapchat (@greeneyecarissa) you will see a quick clip of me being out with the fellas! They had to give me updates throughout the movie to help me understand the background information that I didn’t know. My husband would give me the “why” if something was going on and it looked like I didn’t understand! I saw on the news that they are starting to shoot the sequel next month…
Separation Anxiety…So let’s talk about DJ!!! DJ is a Mama’s Boy in every sense of the word. Whenever, I leave the house or let if I walk outside for a second to get something out the car or take a poopy diaper out this little boy flips ALL THE WAY OUT!!! I cant even go upstairs without a meltdown occurring. But the thing is when I am downstairs he is not paying me ANY attention…he is playing, climbing and doing his own thing. Its so bad that even Emma will try to console him by giving him a hug or bringing him his bottle.
While I love that my boy loves his Mama…I hope this is only a phase we are going through!
This week I have been on the “Sick and Shut In” list! I had to have a tooth pulled on Tuesday and Im in less pain but I still have to go on April 11 to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled! I’ve never had a tooth pulled, I watched as Emma had to get one pulled a couple of months ago…so when I was in the chair I felt like crying but I thought if Emma who is 4 years old can go through this like a champ so can Mommy!!! She was my motivation!!!
She’s so little but so strong…she inspires me in so many ways!!!
