**The Datebox was sent to me in exchange for a Review. The opinions are 100% my own.**
Have you heard of the date box?
The Datebox is a subscription box that includes items to have an entire date-night in the comforts of your own home!
Recently, in our couples ministry at church we talked about the importance of dating your spouse. If you talk to any “seasoned” couple the one thing they will tell you is to never stop dating your spouse…and honestly they couldn’t have been more right! Its important to spend alone time with your spouse, no matter where you do it; you need to make alone time for the two of you.
Last weekend Darrick and I planned a datenight of dinner…or so I thought. But once we dropped the children off at my sisters house he told me he planned a surprise trip to All Fired Up to paint pottery! I have been trying to get Darrick to paint pottery since we first got together…and he surprised me!!!
But with little kids we dont always get to go out and this is why we can benefit from the Datebox.
Spending time with your spouse doesn’t have to be a big fancy date, some of the best times can be created with a date at home. If we cant get out the house, Darrick and I will have a date night at home…we love them!! Since our kids are on a bedtime schedule it has become easier to have date nights at home! Or nights of just laying in the dark and talking…even if the conversation is something crazy, we are still spending that quality time together!
I had a chance to review the Datebox subscription box for the month of February…
-Journal
-Chocolates
-Tea
-Lotion for a Massage
-Coupon for a Playlist from Spotify
-Coupon for Online Massage Lesson
-Cloth for Massage
-Gold Rose Petals
-Card with the theme for the month
-Booklet explaining more about this month’s theme
Each box also comes with a “theme”…this month’s theme is Selfless Service. In falling in line with serving your mate is the massage tutorial which gives you techniques to share a night of pampering each other.
I also loved the booklet which discusses the theme in more detail for the month. The theme for February was “Selfless Service.” The booklet was written by Dr. Les Parrott and it discusses the importance of Selfless Love in your relationship. In our couples ministry at our church we are currently going through the love languages, and “Act of Service” is one of the love languages that we will be discussing. I cant wait to share with my group about ways to show acts of service, because I believe selfless service can fall right in live with that particular love language.
What do you think of the Datebox?
The date box is very affordable and can be subscribed to in three different ways….1, 3 or 6 month subscription. Please check out the website for the Datebox if you are interested in purchasing one.
