If there is one thing that has followed me all my life is my love for all things artsy! I have always loved crayons, markers, stationary, planning and planners. So when this trend of being a #planner and/or #planning came along I tried to fight it but I have been bitten by the planner bug and I LOVE it! I really think I missed my calling as an Elementary Art Teacher or a Teacher period. I have also loved carrying a planner…my mother introduced my sister and I to Franklin Covey planners at a young age and although I probably didn’t have anything that needed to be in a planner (besides homework) I always kept a planner, special stationary and different color ink pens on me at all times. This trend has continued well into adulthood…
I found this planner addict questions via The Bloggin’ Mamacita…
I keep an electronic calendar on my phone at all times also, because its on my phone and this is how I link events to my husband so he knows where we need to be or where we are (if I am out with the kids)…
PLANNER ADDICT TAG QUESTIONS
1.) How many planners do you have/own?
I have 4 planners; Happy Planner, 2 Sugar Paper LA planners, Color Crush Planner…oh and a blog planner
2.) How many planners do you actually use at one time?
I use my Happy Planner and the larger Sugar Paper planner
3.) When did you first start using a paper planner?
Honestly, I cant remember. I started using Erin Condren and Lilly Pulitzer planners in college (so around 2005/2006) but prior to that I used school planners and planners from the store. It was always hard to find the perfect one so I would start multiple ones then find another mid-way through the year.
4.) When did you start decorating your planner?
I started immediately…after a conversation with my cousin Dawn (we are crafting sisters) I jumped right in!
5.) If you could use only ONE embellishment to decorate your planner, what would you use?
Stickers…I love the sticker layouts
6.) What is your favorite pen to write with?
Staedtler triplus fineliner pens
7.) Favorite place to shop for planner goodies (can also be your favorite Etsy seller)?
I love Michael’s…but I have a TON of sellers on Etsy that I love too…
And I also find lots of sticker layouts via Pinterest
8.) What is the most you have spent at a store for planner supplies?
I’ve never really done a HUGE haul…I try to stick with sales and free printables. And anytime I have purchased a planner it was on sale.
9.) What is your planning routine?
Usually I use Sunday nights to plan out everything because once the week gets started…things get crazy. But sometimes I will decorate prior to Sunday so on Sunday all I have to do is write in appointments and make sure everything is all set.
10.) If you had to pick only ONE planner, which one would you use and why?
This is a hard one…Im not sure actually. I really like my Happy Planner because of the monthly and weekly layout and areas to write more information. BUT its pretty big…so I really wish there was a purse size Happy Planner. I have yet to really break into my color crush but that is the personal size…but I haven’t fallen in love with it yet….so I don’t know honestly!
11.) *BONUS QUESTION* Show us your washi tape stash. Is it out of control?
Honestly, I am growing to love washi…I wasnt the biggest fan at first. So my collection is pretty small!
So I dont think I am giving up any of my planners or planning anytime soon. Really this is the most organized that I have been in a LONG time, so I feel like if this is keeping me motivated to stay on track then I am sticking with it. I also got my mom planning with stickers…and we bought my sisters some stickers too (she doesn’t have a choice)! HA!
My cousin Dawn and I are releasing something big in March regarding planning….
Are you a planner?
