When I became a mom I really didn’t have a lot of friends that had kids…so I never had a mom squad! A couple of my friends had kids, but they were a lot older than my kids. So while we talk about our kids, they are at totally different stages.
Up until a few months ago I really didn’t have mom friends that I could go to that could relate to me. You see having a child with special needs takes another parent with a special needs child to actually relate to the accomplishments, joyous occasions and frustrations.
But this year I vowed to myself that I would make some mom friends, and actually take the time to get to know the moms in my daughters class. And I actually did this and met some great ladies…
So if you were to come up with a Mom Squad; what ladies would you choose, and what characteristics would you look for? Not sure, here is a guide of what moms you need to have on your squad…

I think with everything I have been through with my family…I am the “Mother of Dragons”. I haven’t always been like that but having two kids that have been in the hospital made me realize I am a lot stronger than I ever thought I was. And sometimes I need to have hard conversations but I need you know that I am “Mama Bear” and I don’t play when it comes to my cubs!
(Hides Face) Sometimes I can be the “I love my S.O. So Much” Mom friend. If you know one thing about me…its that I love my husband! I’m not one of those people to make everything sound perfect because its far from that but I don’t hesitate to share my love for my husband!
But sometimes I can be any one of these moms on the mom squad….I think my position rotates!
