My husband goes to work pretty early in the morning. I try to get up with him to have a few moments to myself, what I have learned to be the best schedule is to get up, shower, and have a few moments with God. Usually, before I really get moving I look at my phone or iPad and read devotionals and check Emails, check Facebook & Instagram and pray. Its so crazy how much better I feel in the morning when I read a devotional before I really get going versus jumping up starting my day.
I wanted to share the devotionals that come to my phone and iPad daily…
Jesus Calling
One of my FB friends used to post these on her status and I thought they were good. Then I had another friend that kept the book at her work station…I would read both and I felt like I needed to be reading these daily! This is an Apple App only, so these come to my iPad daily. I have a reminder set up just incase I forget to read it in the morning I can read it when I open my iPad.
Joel Osteen Today’s Word
I have been reading these devotionals since I was in college. I signed up after listening to one of his sermons, apparently my mom thought I needed Jesus while in college (I probably did) so aside from getting the daily email, she sent these to my sister and I daily (I never told her I was already getting them)! HA! These are actually some of my favorite devotionals! I actually read them aloud to my husband when we have somewhere to be early in the morning!
She Reads Truth (#shereadstruth)
I cant remember how I found these devotionals. I dont necessarily read them daily, I read these sporadically. I receive the emails daily, and I have the app on my phone…I don’t delete them, so many times I go back and read them when I am waiting somewhere. I follow on IG…I love their motivational pics! Their Easter devotions…are AWESOME!
YouVersion Bible App
YouVersion is the first Bible app that I ever downloaded. This app has reading plans, but I use it for daily Bible Verses! They send me a Bible Verse every morning and many times I share them on Twitter after I read them. This is also the app that I use in church, I am one of those electronic bible users!
First 5
This is the most recent app that I found and downloaded! The purpose of this app is to start the first 5 minutes of your day with God. First 5 was developed by Proverbs 31 Ministries in order to connect a woman’s heart to God’s Word the First 5 minutes of her day. (Don’t you just LOVE this concept of connecting your heart to God’s Word)
