A few weeks ago my husband and I did health screenings at his job. Thank God everything came back normal as far as our levels but one thing that stood out to the both of us was the amount of weight that we have gained in the last year.

Why do I need to change my eating patterns, what is the underlying factor that is contributing to me not taking care of my body. And in narrowing it down I realize that I eat my emotions. I cant speak for both me and my husband but I know this is my issue. This last year has been pretty hard on us since the death of our son, and we keep moving but one thing that suffers is our eating pattern and the food that we eat. Honestly we need to do better…

Get Active…Besides changing our eating habits we also need to get more active. We are always together so we might as well get active together, not only for ourselves but get the kids involved also. Go for walks, bike rides, go to the playground…become an active family
Be Consistent…many times we start something then stop after a while. If we are really going to make a lifestyle change and get on track we need consistency.
Making Better Decisions…with these small changes hopefully they add up to big changes in our lifestyle! The ultimate goal is to make better decisions and that will get us on track and keep us on track!
