In the past 6 years I never imagined my life changing the way it has! I remember telling my mom a few weeks before I started dating Darrick that I had accepted the fact that I wasnt getting married and having children. At the time I had only been back in Cleveland for a year or so, and I didnt have the best job…honestly, when I think back on that time I think about how I just wasn’t in the best position in life. Granted it could’ve been a lot worse but to me, I had just given up on love.
I figured if I just poured into myself; as in my career (finding a better job), finding a place to live (I had just moved home after graduating from college) and so on…I would be happy without getting married! Even though I knew getting married was something I always wanted.
Little did I know a few months later I would start dating the man that would be my husband…and in a week we will celebrate 3 years together as a married couple!
One of the things I enjoy the most with Darrick is “our” time together…it can be out on a date, sitting somewhere talking, playing a game, interacting with the kids, really it can be anything…I just love our time together! So a few days ago when the kids went to bed we snuck down to the kitchen (yes, we had to sneak because I think Douglass can smell when Im not in the room…even in his sleep) and we had a quick Ice Cream Float Date…We shared Coke Floats and good Conversation!
I know him so well…the way to his heart is with a COLD Coke, Ice Cream and a Smile!!! HA!
When I purchased the Diet Coke last week at I loved how
In the beverages isle I found some of the mini cans with slogans on them, and emoticons!
So the babies stayed sleep and Mommy and Daddy were able to have good conversation with no interruptions and share a Coke Float with each other! Of course we started with one…I had the idea to share one but they were so good we eventually got our own! But we shared the bottle of Coke!!!! Some of the best date nights are spent in the comforts of your own home!
I Share My Coke with My Husband on a date in the Kitchen…
Who do you Share Your Coke With???
