Every year my family goes on a family outing to the Auto Show. Last year I was VERY pregnant with the twins and was unable to attend due to all the walking, so I knew this year I couldn’t miss it.
Overall, the Auto Show as pretty good this year, the only thing that was missing was my sister and her family. As the kids get older it harder to get everyone together. My sisters’ family was unable to go due to having school activities to attend (her kids are a lot older than mine), and we wouldn’t be able to attend next weekend; so this year they were unable to attend but they were missed greatly!
We arrived at the Auto Show around noon, and since it was the second day there was already a pretty good crowd. We jumped right in looking at the Mercedes…
I thought this was a great place to start because the Mercedes G-Class is my ultimate dream car! It was set up on a display so I didnt get the pleasure of sitting inside, so I stood by the window and dreamed!
Last time we attended the Auto Show, Emma was a little bit older than what Douglass is now so she wasn’t interested in walking. She was pretty cool with riding in the stroller. However, my little busy bee was not interested in just riding, she wanted to walk with the rest of us.
She did really good! Even though it as a lot of people, we kept a CLOSE eye on her and made sure she was holding someone hand at all times. She tried to break away a few times but she quickly gave it and realized if she didn’t hold someone’s hand she was going back in the stroller.
I am pretty content with my current car, so I had a small list of cars/trucks that I wanted to get in because I really like them…
Although there were a lot of car missing from our list…I did get a chance to test out a few smart cars.
My list…
Fiat…are they not the cutest cars EVER! They actually had a lot more room than what I expected!
Mini Cooper…it was a pretty small in the inside but I love how they look!
Cadillac Escalade…I love the new edition of the Escalade. All the Chevy, GMC and Cadillacs have a new box shape, and I love it! I could see this in my future as our next family car! And the fact that the model on display at the Pigskin Leather…I was SOLD (any relation to football has me sold)!
Nissan Juke…this is a car that if I were still single I would’ve looked into purchasing this! Its the perfect size for a college student or single woman! Im not usually into bright colored cars, but I loved the Yellow/Gold color of this car.
I took a couple pictures of the Mercedes…because I mean who wouldn’t want a Mercedes. G-Class (fav), Maybach…SIGN ME UP!
As I stated earlier, we had a good time but we couldn’t help but notice there was a lot missing this year. On my list I wanted to see the BMW i3, Lexus LS Hybrid, and the hubs wanted to see the Chevy Avalanche (there were a lot of the pickup styles missing)…so maybe we will have to take a trip to the dealership to take a quick look!!! Also there weren’t many swag-bags and pamphlets this time around.
Have you ever attended the Auto Show??
Do you plan on going this year?
