Look at this little Girl! LOL!!
This is what you get when you ask her to take a picture…
you take a million until she finally looks at the camera
(then you use what you can)! LOL!
I’m sitting here getting a quick bite to eat before the Speech Therapist and the Education Coordinator get here to assess Emma for Preschool. A while back Emma’s speech therapist at the hospital in which she gets care at told us about a program that we could enroll Emma where she would get speech therapy daily but also be in the preschool environment with other children!
We immediately jumped on it because its the best of both worlds. We knew she was coming up on the time in which she would need to be around other children daily in a learning environment. Im excited for her and nervous at the same time…which I guess is pretty normal.
We just started going back to speech last week…and of course Little Miss Emma wouldn’t talk! Grrrr I guess this is pretty normal with toddlers (they pretty much do what they want, when they want)…Im trying to break her of this spirit EARLY! LOL no seriously I am trying to get Emma to understand how school works and working with her therapist…she will get it eventually! At least I hope so…
I didn’t get a chance to finish this post before they showed up for her assessment…
Emma did EXCELLENT!!!
We have one more evaluation before they make a decision; however, they were very pleased her speech and her willing to learn and play. The speech therapist that came was excellent…I wanted to ask him if he would come to our house regularly and do therapy! He got more out of Emma than he speech therapist ever has and she has been going to see her for about a year now! Im so excited…I think this will be a great fit for her and her speech development!!!
We now play the waiting game for the next evaluation…
Thanks for the prayers and good vibes that were sent her way today!!!
