Last week I had the chance to attend the Christmas Connection at the Cleveland IX Center. I received 4 tickets and I attended with my mom, sister, and children. I remember seeing the commercial last year and wishing I would’ve gone. So I was extremely excited about attending this year!
When you first walk in you are greeted by this large Santa statue and Christmas trees! They set the Christmas mood as soon as you walk in. There is also Christmas music playing…
As you walk through the entrance, its like you are walking through a Winter/Christmas Wonderland! There were scenes from the famous Christmas Story Movie, and historical attractions from around the Cleveland area…
Along with seeing the attractions from around the city, the purpose of the Christmas Connection is do some Christmas Shopping! There were a ton of vendors that sold any and everything you could think of. I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the booths because I was focused on shopping. Vendors were brought in from over 35 states…and I took total advantage of them. We shopped and shopped until we couldn’t anymore! In my opinion they didnt have as much stuff for little boys as they did girls…so I really took advantage of getting some items for my little munchkin!
This year I took the kids with me because Darrick was working, however, next year I will be attending by myself. Emma is young so she doesn’t pay attention to me buying Christmas gifts unless it was a toy…
I kept her occupied with this reindeer headband. I did buy her some educational gifts and she saw them so I let her play with them until we got ready to leave and then I took it and she hasn’t looked for it since I took it away (oh the joys of them being young…I wont be able to do that next year)! Douglass slept for most of my time and he’s definitely too young to know whats going on.
Overall this was a great experience and I look forward to attending again next year with my mom and sister! Its a perfect way to kick off the holiday shopping season!
