I haven’t blogged much but I have consistently been posting on my Facebook and Instagram pages! The doctors told us when Darrick was transferred to the hospital he’s in that this would be a marathon and if there is one thing that has held true…it is that! Some days the race is slow, others its fast and other days we are coasting! Earlier this week I had a few rough days…Darrick was running a fever, and the doctors thought we were in danger of infection, but Thank God all the tests came back negative!
Last week he had two procedures, he did great (but it was a lot)…so I guess running a low grade fever wasn’t all that bad. I know he is still in a very complex place with his health but I get so down whenever they tell me something is wrong. I guess its just a mother wanting her baby to get better and not have anything wrong…
At the end of the week we got a chance to kiss Darrick for the first time!
It was amazing! His little cheeks were so soft just like his brothers!
And this week I got a chance to hold him for the first time…
Excuse the way I look in all these pics…I’m really tired!
Lately I have been trying to pull myself into a positive place and not just sit and think about the fact that he HAD (its gone and hopefully not coming back) a fever I need to focus on him having two procedures; one that was very serious and the other was finishing the process of the first one…and how well he is doing overall!
So basically I am trying to stay strong! I think of this quote often when I am trying to keep myself motivated!! I know I have a lot going on and its okay to feel the way I feel because I have a baby in the hospital but I just feel better when I try to stay strong…
During this time I try to find different things to focus to take my mind off of everything we have going on. Last week I had a chance to do some makeup for my sister for an event that she was going to for her church anniversary! I think she knows how much I love doing makeup and being all girly so this was so much fun…
She looked so pretty! The outfit was her idea (she actually made it) and I helped with accessories and makeup! It was also her birthday…what better way to celebrate by getting all dolled up!!!
My brother in love and sister!!!
Also in taking my mind off of things I have been making some changes to the blog! Since I am now a mom of 3 I will be covering many more mommy/parenting topics on my blog…and navigating through life with 3 children! I received a “consultation” LOL from Mimi of Lipgloss & Binky…she helped me get my life all the way together when it comes to this blog! Thanks Lady!!!! So I have some new topics I will be covering on this blog. When things are going on in life I try to focus some of my attention on other things to help me cope! So you will probably see more of my blog because writing is relaxing and therapeutic!
