I had the pleasure to review the Fitbit Flex as part of being a Verizon Wireless Midwest Contributor.
I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the Fitbit Flex for a couple of weeks. I am new to the fitness trackers…but I really loved having the chance to try this out! I can really see myself using one of these in the future!
Let me give you a little background info on exactly what the Flex is…its a wristband that tracks steps, distance, and calories burned (this is tracked during the day), and at night it tracks your sleep and also serves as a wake up device in the morning.
The Fitbit Flex that I reviewed looked exactly like the bracelet above!
I thought this was pretty cool because right now my fitness routine is null & void since I am pregnant with twins. Walking is a chore right now because I am constantly in pain in my lower stomach area…however, I was surprised by the amount of walking that it tracked from day to day; especially on days when I had doctor appointments. I was actually doing a lot better than what I initially thought.
When I was asked to review the Flex I stated that I was going to use it more for tracking my sleep. When I slept and looked the next day I clearly wasn’t meeting my goal for sleeping, but that wasn’t surprising because I am constantly up off and on all night for either a bathroom break or just simply being uncomfortable.
So what did I think about the Fitbit Flex…
Wearing the Fitbit Flex
I really didn’t think I would like wearing the tracker because of the thickness of the band, but actually it was so lightweight that I forgot that I had it on. When I sleep I usually take off all accessories, because after so many hours I cant stand them on…but I didnt even notice this one after wearing it for so long!
Overall, I think its good if you are interested in fitness. Even though I kept track of my sleep, I felt it was more beneficial for fitness purposes. I liked the feature of calories burned, walking distance and steps tracker. The bracelet comes in two sizes…I wore the larger size of the bracelets.
I think the tracker is great for people who are into fitness or simply want to track their steps on a daily basis! When I first received the Flex I wasn’t sure how it worked, but once I opened the box and downloaded the app on my phone, everything synced easily…very user friendly! I would even recommend this to someone who isn’t really tech savvy, I feel like this would be easy for them to learn how to use. There wasnt much to do once you downloaded the app to your phone…put the tracker on and go!!!
I would love to see my steps once I have the babies to see how many steps I get in then compared to being pregnant!
