I remember when this picture surfaced of Kim Kardashian back when she was pregnant. She was still trying to wear her cute shoes with straps while her feet were swollen. Honestly, I felt bad for her because when I was pregnant with Emma my feet stayed swollen off and on…so I knew the struggle of trying to maintain your sexiness while pregnant! Especially if you are a heel person…I was thinking how can I dress up without a good 2.5/3 inch heel! But as soon as those feet started hurting I quickly changed my tune and switched to my flats…good thing is as much as I love my heels I love flats too!
In the words of my cousin Khadija “BUSTED CAN OF BISCUITS”
is what her feet looked like with these shoes on!

Well fast forward to now…LORD HAVE MERCY my feet have swollen to a new size shoe! I have been trying to find some comfortable sandals that are cute for the summer but I am having NO LUCK! My normal shoe size is a 9/9.5 but every-time I try on a shoe I have to try on a 10/10.5…nothing is wrong with those sizes but Sweet Jesus…is my foot going to stay this size or go back after pregnancy!
I think all women have a fear a change being permanent once it changes during pregnancy! I mean I have a lot of shoes I hope to eventually get back into once I have these babies!
Luckily, nothing else is super swollen on me..well besides my nose! And I know that will eventually go back down because it did the same thing when I was pregnant with Emma…the famous “pregnancy spread”. This doesn’t really bother me, except for when people comment on it…listen I know its BIG but I don’t need you to bring attention to it or me, I look at it daily in the mirror!
So how did you do during pregnancy…did anything swell that didn’t eventually go back to normal? Or did you not have any swelling at all…if so, what’s your secret??
