As part of the Cedar Point Moms (#cpmoms) I was offered a free night stay at Castaway Bay, in Sandusky, Ohio this past weekend.
Castaway Bay is Cedar Point’s indoor waterpark resort. The resort is tropical Caribbean themed, the center of the resort is a five-story waterpark that is covered in palm trees, huts, inland lagoons! It was a great resort to get away for a weekend, and especially with these cold temperatures that we currently have going on.
We really needed this night away as a family! We had a great time together!
Once we got in our room we had this gift bag waiting for us…
It was a bucket filled with snacks and goodies and two bottles of water!
The bag was courtesy of Lake Erie Shores and Islands!!
Emma had a blast with the glasses from the bucket…
and her Daddy had a great time with the snacks! (Everyone was happy)!!
We changed to get ready to go swimming…
and as you can tell Emma wasnt letting go of the glasses!
First on our itinerary was Dinner at Mango Mike’s…
At Mango Mike’s there was an unlimited pizza buffet…
Emma enjoyed herself…she ate pizza and caught up with Doc McStuffins on Darrick’s phone it kept her quite and eating!
After eating we checked out the water park…I know that goes against all swimming laws but we were okay! No cramps or anything…HA!
This is really the only good picture a got while we were in the water park…I didn’t want to risk any water getting anywhere near my camera! I took a few pics of Darrick and Emma, after they got out the water. We took Emma to the toddler play area but she wasn’t a fan, she was a fan of the wave pool. So we spent most of our time in the wave pool. I was going to go through the water tower but I guess something about it scared Emma so she flipped out crying so I came down…I only made it to the second level.
After swimming we stopped back by the designated craft area that was set aside for the Moms and their families.
We colored a family towel and ate ice cream…
More Pics from the night…
After we finished swimming, we made our way to TGIFriday’s for appetizers (its connected to Castaway Bay through a walkway), we brought our appetizers back to the room and chilled out for the rest of the night.
I made a collage of the pics from the entire trip!
We stayed in the traditional Starfish Room, the room had two double beds, a small refrigerator (which came in handy for Milk for Emma…she loves her Milk), microwave, coffee maker and a private screened in balcony. The rooms were nice and clean, and spacious! I didn’t realize until it was time to leave how I had stuff EVERYWHERE…I made myself at home!
Overall we had a BLAST!
Emma slept all the way back to Cleveland, and even though we made a couple stops at a few stores…she went right back to sleep when we got back in the car! I cant wait to go back, we have already talked to family about possibly doing a family trip in the off season again! Nothing like a getaway to a Caribbean themed resort during the Polar Vortex!
