So today we were supposed to write about a celebrity that our husband remind us of…either in looks or personality.
I was trying to go with looks at first but then I realized that he doesn’t look like ANY celebrity out here! I asked him, I asked my parents…I just couldn’t think of any. But then I thought about personality…and I had the perfect match!
My husband reminds me of…

The celebrity that reminds me of Darrick is Rev Run.

Well Darrick does love his Old School Rap and Adidas…but he isn’t walking around in Adidas suits and Gold Chains! LOL! However, he does have a lot of similarities of Rev Run. They both put God first then family, then everything else. Ever since he became a husband and father, nothing comes before that but God. When you watch “Run’s House” and Rev Run is talking you never know if you are going to get some rap lyrics, a scripture or “words of wisdom”… and this is Darrick all the way! One of the things that I LOVED immediately about Darrick when we got together was the fact that he could quote and explain the Bible just as much as he could the lyrics to his favorite songs. I was always a fan of the show Run’s House…and their parenting style when it came to their children. And I felt that if I used a celebrity role model for parenting it would be them. You could tell their realness in the show and I loved it (we both are huge fans)!
There have been times I leave out the room and the TV is on, and I come back and Run DMC is playing and he and Emma are dancing! So I guess Emma will be an Old School rap fan too! LOL!!
