On January 11, 2014 (told you I am playing catch up on everything) I had the pleasure of meeting up with three other bloggers for a BLM Girls Meetup. Well it didn’t really seem like a meet up more like three bloggers that had known each other for years.
For those that have never heard of BLM Girls…it is an online community of women bloggers created by Leslie Young. The group is dedicated to the positive exchange of ideas, tips and advice about fashion, beauty, relationships, faith and everything in between. The group focuses on relationship building through blogging, meet-ups, and social networking.
Bloggers that Attended the Meet-Up…
Kirsten Womack from Kirsten’s Journey to a Healthy Lifestyle
Tara Jefferson from The Young Mommy Life
Arlice Nicole from A Woman’s Worth Online
and myself!
We’ve been trying to clear our schedules so we get together (with the holidays it was a little hectic), but Im so glad this time we made it work! Kirsten coordinated everything and even had an agenda for us; which was to basically sit and talk about our blogs; and the achievements and challenges of blogging, it quickly turned into a brainstorming meeting (which I LOVED). We all left with a list of things to help us along the way, from which companies to work with, to new blog posts for your niche. I like the fact that we all blog about different topics because it gave us a chance to look at things from someone on the outside looking in point of view. I still have my sheet I took notes on and next time I plan to take a notebook, so my notes can be better organized!
We met at Town Hall in Ohio City.
“TownHall is an organically driven restaurant, the food is made with fresh local ingredients. They offer a variety of gluten free and vegetarian options that are delicious yet healthy. The drink menu is marked not only with fresh squeezed juices but also with specialty crafted emulsive cocktails made fresh to order, spiked milkshakes, a notable whiskey menu, and 30 rotating local/regional American craft beers on tap.”
Kirsten said she and her husband are regulars there, and they love it and I think it was a great option for us. I cant wait to take my husband so he can try it…and I can try the grass-fed burger!
I didnt take any pictures of my food…it was really good and I was really hungry! HA! I ordered from the Brunch Menu…I ordered the Wakey Wakey; two organic eggs, bacon, buttermilk biscuits, and Fresh Ohio Preserves. It was VERY Yummy!
