Since I was young I have always learned to Pray…no matter what it was, no matter how big or small you pray and give it to God! With everything that has gone on sometimes its hard to pray because I dont have the words to say but the one thing I do know is God knows the desires of my heart because even when I cant pray He is still working on my behalf.
Last night we were eating dinner and talking and came up with the idea to get everyone praying for Emma for this next month. There is power in numbers so if Darrick and I are praying, and we can solicit others to pray with us…
Not many people know but a few months ago Emma was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. We noticed since birth that Emma’s right leg is larger (noticeably) than the left leg. We had a random appointment and I asked the doctor why is this…she had us go for an x-ray and hip dysplasia is what they found. We then had to go to a Pediatric Orthopedic Doctor where they gave us a brace for her. She wears the brace at night and throughout the day…she doesn’t have to have it on permanently or all day. Since we have been using the brace we have noticed she is more mobile. She moves around A LOT more crawling wise, and she is pulling up more. She will even walk behind the walker toy, but she goes right back to crawling.
So this next month we are going into deep prayer about her walking and strengthening of her core muscles. We are also praying about her bottom teeth, we have top teeth coming in but no bottom teeth. I have taken her back to her dentist that worked with her for her lip and palate and they said they see teeth, which is a good thing they are just taking their own time coming in. Also, since they have found hip dysplasia, they want to do a ultrasound of her kidneys, and blood work to make sure nothing else is wrong. I have already claimed “there is nothing else wrong with our baby” but I will do my part and give it to God!
Over the last month we have seen a dramatic changes in Emma, and we want to keep with the progression. She is playing better, communicating better (pointing and stuff), babbling more, moving around more. However, I texted a couple of people last night to join in, in praying for her over the next month!
I am asking all my readers to join in with us in praying for Emma! Its nothing formal, just when you are praying can you please remember her in your prayers! Pray for her development (walking, talking, core muscles), tests they are running on her, and teeth!
I cant wait to get rid of those bibs!!! And for my little one to walking/running around the house…I’m THANKING GOD in advance for all of these things!!!
