Ice Cream is my number one treat in the Summer! Well who am I kidding…I can eat ice cream all year long! My husband and I LOVE it, and if you come to our house and look in the freezer you are guaranteed to find some!
Last fall while in Walmart, we came across an Ice Cream maker for $10! What a steal! Well since we have bought it we have tried a couple of flavors…one of my favorites was the Vanilla and Pineapples! Well that was my favorite until this last flavor that we used International Delight’s Caramel Macchiato!!!
We used the manual for our ice cream maker as a guide but added International Delight…WHOOP WHOOP!!!
Vanilla Ice Cream with Caramel Twist
2 cups milk
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups half and half
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 cups International Delight Caramel Macchiato
Scald milk until bubbles form around edge of pan.
Remove from heat.
Add sugar and salt.
Stir until dissolved.
Stir in vanilla extract and
International Delight Caramel Macchiato
Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Freeze as directed.
Ohhh how I love the finished product!!!
This is just a scoop! I didnt get to eat a bunch…but tonight I will be sure to have more! Its vanilla ice cream with a caramel undertone! I played by the rules (recipe) when making it but next time I will be sure to add more caramel!!
I actually cannot wait to try more flavors of International Delight with Ice Cream! There are so many flavors to try, we may never have to buy ice cream again…we can just make it at home!!!
