Happy Birthday Emma!!!
Dear Emma…
Today is your first birthday! And just thinking about this past year has me a little sentimental, seems like yesterday Daddy and I were in the hospital going back and forth seeing you in the NICU! You spent the first 50 days of your life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit because you were having troubles eating due to being born with a cleft lip/palate. I never thought becoming parents would come with so many obstacles early on, however, looking back on this year we would do it all over to make sure you are okay!
We celebrated your birthday yesterday during the Super Bowl party, in true football fashion! You know Mommy and Daddy love football…and well you have no choice but to love it too!
It has been such a joy to see you develop, and we are HEAD OVER HEELS in love with you! We want to keep you to ourselves…I cant lie we don’t like to let you out of our sight!
You are the strongest little girl I know that smiles at everything, even in your sleep! Daddy and I know once you smile you are letting us know that everything is okay! We cant wait to see how you develop over these next few months…hopefully, walking is coming in the near future!
