Thank You Lord!!!
This week has surely been a long one! Emma had surgery on Tuesday, and we were expected to go home on Wednesday morning-but we didn’t come home until yesterday (an extra day)! This surgery was very hard on Emma, they had to do more to give her a palate than was expected, we were told she had the worst tissue in her mouth that the surgeon had ever seen. They were able to give her a palate (Thank You Jesus) but it was a lot of work, and it was harder on her! Even the surgeon said he would be wiped out if he had to go through what he just did to her. I guess that pretty much sums it up since he is the one that did surgery! Emma also had new tubes put in her ears…to add to it all!
So its been a rough one! Basically we are teaching her to eat again…and fighting the entire time! She is being fed by a syringe at the moment and I guess eventually we will either go back to a bottle or go with a sippy cup! She is basically on a liquid diet until her follow up appointment next week.
But even with all of that I am grateful that she is okay and we are in the recovering stages of this!!! Its progress EVERYDAY! She has been running a fever off and on through all of this so please continue to pray for her and her full recovery!
