I am a few weeks late…but oh well!!!
Happy 9th Month Birthday Emma!!!
Our munchkin is now 9 months! Usually at the new month birthday we notice that Emma is doing something new! This month it is talking, now she talked before but NOW we have a real motor mouth on our hands! Since she doesnt have a palate we hear a lot of lalalalalala….she says Lana when she sees my niece which is short for Solana! If you tell her you love her, she says her own form of that back to you! She is sitting up on her own, and doing a lot of sudden movements! She wants to get down off your lap and stand up, she isnt into crawling! Since having her g-tube taken out, she tolerates her stomach more…but not a huge fan of it! Her appetite is GREAT!!! She loves eating…solids and formula! We have now started eating the Gerber puffs for snacks, she is still working on picking up small things but she is getting there! She is holding her bottle on her own! She knows how to put her arms through her clothes when you put them on!
I feel like 9 months was a real transitioning point for us! She is coming into a phase of wanting to be more independent! Even with eating I have noticed that she likes to grab the spoon and try herself instead of being fed! She feels that if you are eating she needs to be eating as well…so its hard to eat without her now! Taking naps has become a chore for us…she doenst like to sleep as much as she used to! She is also in 12 month clothes now…my little chunker! LOL!
