By Emma still having a cleft palate, I am always still a little nervous about the food that is given to her. In her occupational therapy sessions, the therapist recommended the Baby Mum Mum cookies. When she introduced them to us I immediately went out and bought her some more because she liked them so much! I have only found these at Target, and they come in a couple different flavors but at the moment she only eats the Banana! Emma gets super excited when its time to eat her Mum Mum cookies!
The teething biscuits are made with premium Japonica rice and other simple, all natural ingredients. Baby Mum-Mum is also a good food choice for an egg-free, peanut-free and gluten-free baby diet. I was very excited about the fact that it was an all natural cookie! And she can eat it on her own. The teething biscuits come in individual packets with two cookies in each pouch! Great snack for on the go!
We were also told in occupational therapy that we can give Emma graham crackers! The purpose of both cookies the Mum Mum and Graham crackers is because they dissolve right away. I am 100% comfortable with the Mum Mum cookies, and now moving into eating more graham crackers! Graham crackers dissolve easily but not as fast as the Mum Mum, however, they are GREAT for trying a new texture!
Emma can hold these on her own also! And she really loves to eat them but she tries to eat them really fast so we have to slow her down! LOL!! Daddy loves graham crackers too, so I think Emma has picked up this trait from Daddy!
Both snacks can be easily packed in her diaper back for on the go snacks! I personally dont let her eat while we are riding unless I am in the backseat with her and even then I usually like her to be sitting and eating not riding and eating!
Another one of Emma’s favorite items is the Fresh Food Feeder from the Munchkin brand! To use these you, put a piece of fruit, vegetables or meat into the mesh bag and snap shut. Your baby can chew, suck and enjoy all the whole food goodness and taste, with only the tiniest, digestible pieces coming through. Emma wasnt really a fan of teething toys, she is just getting to the point of putting EVERYTHING in her mouth! When I first tried these I tried it with baby food just so she could get the hang of it…she actually cried a little bit when I took it from her!
What snacks do you give your baby?
