How I met your father…
1. Tell us about how and when you met your love and what attracted you most to him.
I met Darrick at church, I have known him forever (probably since birth)! Honestly, I didn’t pay attention to him until we (my sister and I) talked about him after a dream that she had (she had a dream Darrick was the man I was going to marry). What attracted me to him was his looks and stature (he is 6’5″ with a football player build), I also noticed that he always came to church in a suit and not many guys at our church his age wear suits! He was always dressed really nice, no matter if he was there for a meeting or a service.
2. Show us the very first {or one of the first} pictures you guys ever took together. {Feel free to show us more than one}
The first couple of months together as boyfriend and girlfriend!
3. Tell us some of your favorite memories that you two had together.
-how I ended up asking you on our first date
-going to the wrong restaurant on our first date
-talking on the phone until 4 in the morning in the beginning of our relationships
-Saturday Road Trips
-being together until early in the morning (then he would drop me off at home) and we would be back together a few hours later
-wedding planning
-our trip to Pittsburgh when we got engaged (one for the records…still feels magical just thinking about it)
-becoming parents
-the day I told you I was expecting
-the whole pregnancy experience
-becoming husband and wife (loved every moment of it)
4. Tell us your favorite qualities about this man, what makes him “the one.”
I knew Darrick was the one early on, I was scared to admit it but I did! It was a different feeling from anyone else I have ever dated. He was so easy to talk to and be myself with, we have a lot of the same traits in our personalities and made an immediate connection. We wanted the same things in life! His faith in God is amazing, his life goals were very similar to mine, we both were Browns fans-he is a provider, protector, very intelligent…I could go on and on!! Darrick makes me laugh everyday with the crazy stuff he says, and he always tells me I am beautiful! Even when I first wake up in the morning!

5. Tell us what your “date nights” typically look like.
We usually switch our date nights up, sometimes its dinner, sometimes its a walk around the city, or a drive around the city. Sometimes he takes me to another city for lunch or dinner! We like to try different places around our city, and surrounding areas. We usually get dressed like we are going on our first date together, and usually if he has planned the date I find out along the way what is planned. If its planned together, we usually are going somewhere we both wanted to try!
