I think I have mentioned before how much I LOVE that Emma goes to Occupational Therapy! I even told her pediatrician that I love that she goes and we learn new things from her in working with Emma. Yesterday, we worked on massaging Emma’s scar above her lip. The scar sometimes feels hard so massaging it will help in the healing process. She wasn’t really a fan of the process, I don’t think that it hurts but I think its more of her saying “leave my face alone”! We also worked on her feeding herself, Emma was more excited about this part of therapy. She was eating applesauce, and she grabbed the spoon and started feeding herself…I must admit I got teary eyed (she is becoming such a big girl)!!!

The occupational therapist uses the Sassy Extra Gentle Soft Tip Spoons. They worked really well with Emma feeding herself because they were very flexible! I will be purchasing these spoons really soon, so we can continue to work with Emma and her development and her feeding herself!!! She eats really well when we feed her, however, when she started feeding herself I was so amazed! Of course Daddy says she always tries to take the spoon from him, but she doesn’t do that with me! LOL!!! Oh Emma!!!
