I LOVE SUNDAY BRUNCH!!!
When my sister and I were young my parents would usually surprise us every couple of months and we would try a new restaurant for Sunday Brunch. We would all get dressed up and we would play “hookie” from church (shhhh don’t tell anyone) and we would go to brunch! Since our church service is usually during the brunch hours, we couldnt make this an every Sunday tradition…so every couple of months it was a nice treat! We did have breakfast together EVERY Sunday before church, and before we ate my father would say a LOOOOOONNNGGGG prayer covering us for the week, and thanking God that we made it another week-these are the traditions that I can’t wait to keep up with my own family!
This past Sunday we had a special treat of having Sunday Brunch! However, this time it was made by my parents! My parents just got back in town from our church convention, and I knew they wanted to stay in on Sunday so I made the suggestion to have brunch together…and it was hmmm hmmm GOOD!!! The kids sat in the family room, and Emma was even on the floor in the family room with her cousins (until she noticed them eating…and that meant she got fussy because she felt she should’ve been eating too, so she soon moved to the adult table to eat with me)! But we all sat at the table together and just talked and ate, and it really was the highlight of my weekend! I love family, and those random times when you are all together having fun are the most memorable times that you will spend together!
